ACCORDING TO SURVEY:

Out of the ongoing survey of The National Board, the students are divided on the issue of possible government dissolution of the Youth Council.

This comes after President Aquino signs a proposal to postpone the SK election and wait until February to decide the polling date.

Many have speculated that it may be possible to abolish the SK as part of the government's budget savings.

As a result, The Coconut raised the Quezon Highers mass during the two-week survey, November 24-29 and December 1-5, where 1,000 students were randomly selected as respondents. There were 450 respondents from the fourth year, 450 respondents from the third year (Grade 9) and 100 from the second year (Grade 8).

Using the question as to whether or not they would like to abolish the SK, the respondents checked the column yes or no and they explained the answer.

A total of 390 favored the abolition of SK while another 390 said it should continue and 220 others expressed no interest in the subject.

"Youth should have representation in congress or in the local government," said Leander Rada, student from (Special Program In Journalism).

This is contrary to the opinion of a fourth year student, from the PHV team who did not want to be named. According to him “this is just a breeding place of corruption.
