Department of Agriculture verifies African Swine Fever in QC
The Department of Agriculture (DA) confirmed that ASF has affected barangays in Quezon City, hogs raised in the farms of Bagong Silangan, Payatas and Tatalon are tested positive.
An African Swine Fever is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects pigs and farmers.
ASF causes high fever, loss of appetite, and death among pigs.
It does not pose a health risk to humans.
At least 20,000 pigs have been culled and dies because of the disease.

The Agriculture Department is still investigating on how the ASF Virus is spreading in the barangays of QC.
ASF virus is for pigs, not humans but it is still alarming to the people.
