#LiveLifeToTheMax: Gab and Max love story
A based on a real life love story has been an inspiration for us as Gab Sta. Ana and Maxine Blanco- the couple who fought and loved each other till the end. Gab was already sure of his feelings for Maxine, he said “Parang love at first sight nga talaga. ‘Pag kausap ko siya, nabibighani ako sa kanya.” He is pursued and confident to get her attention until he opened up about his feelings. At first, she turned him down, but Gab was persistent because he believes that Maxine is his one true love. This was the start of their road to forever. However, after two weeks, Maxine decided to end the relationship because she thought they were still young, she told Gab if they could remain as best friends instead.
They remained close and sweet to each other until after two years, they officially became a couple. But little did they know that the biggest obstacle in their love story is yet to come. Maxine was diagnosed of “osteosarcoma” Stage 4. Osteosarcoma is a kind of bone cancer and Gab felt devastated but remained strong for he was one of Maxine’s sources of strength. Despite her medical condition, Maxine did all efforts to live her life to the fullest. Until last Saturday March 23, Maxine passed away. Her boyfriend, Gab Santa Ana, has no words but love and gratitude for the girl with whom he spent 6 years. "Max fought hard and I'm thankful for everything. No more pain, no more suffering. She might left us, but her spirit will always be here. I love you Maxine," he wrote in his Facebook post.
It was in 2018 when Max was diagnosed with cancer. According to Gab, it was during that time when he decided to stand firm and never leave his girlfriend. Max's remains lie in state at a chapel at Christ the King Parish, Greenmeadows, Quezon City. For Gab, their love story is not yet over for he still hopes that one day, they would be together again.
